Villa EGS

Inside the villa, the contemporary architecture continues through a sequence of spaces that unfold quietly into one another. The hallway marks the transition from outside to in, with sightlines running directly toward the water and the terrace. Kitchen and living area are joined in an open arrangement, giving the villa a continuous feel while keeping each function distinct.

Outside, the pool is treated as an extension of the terrace, softening the boundary between structure and setting. The façades are restrained in their design, attentive to material and daylight, in keeping with the clear, contemporary lines of the whole.

Villa EGS was realized in collaboration with Marco van Veldhuizen, whose work is evident in the precision with which the spaces — from hallway to terrace — are aligned with one another.
