Villa by the Water

Villa by the Water

by ENZO architectuur N interieur

This villa in Kudelstaart pairs a restrained material palette with soft, tactile layers. A sculptural black oak cabinet anchors the open living space, its slatted geometry separating the dining area from the lounge without closing it off. Sheer curtains soften the daylight from the floor-to-ceiling windows, while a deep plum rug and rounded furniture forms bring warmth to the otherwise neutral, concrete-toned interior.

Two low, modular sofas in beige linen face each other across a glass coffee table resting on a cluster of rounded wooden legs. A brown leather and tweed armchair, an arched black floor lamp, and a large bird of paradise plant complete the seating area, all set on a deep aubergine rug with a circular woven pattern.

The black oak cabinet acts as both room divider and storage: open slatted shelving above holds books and small objects, while closed cabinetry below conceals a television and audio equipment. On the dining side, a brass dome pendant hangs low over a black table set with taper candles.

Track lighting runs along the ceiling, while sheer curtains and horizontal blinds filter the light from the full-height windows. Grey concrete-look flooring and a light plaster ceiling keep the backdrop neutral, letting the rug's color and the cabinet's dark timber carry the room.
