The renovation retains the villa's original bones — ornate ceiling mouldings, tall sash windows, and a generous double-height stairwell — while introducing new layers of colour and texture. A antique tapestry anchors the wall behind the stairs, its muted greens and blues echoed in the botanical wallpaper found in an adjoining nook, where a pair of painted peacocks perch among branches.

Materials are kept restrained: white plaster stair strings, a warm timber handrail, and black marble checkerboard flooring underfoot. Deep green joinery and a burgundy ceiling introduce contrast without overwhelming the architecture.

A cluster of pendant lights, suspended in a loose spiral, punctuates the void above the stairwell, drawing the eye upward toward the gallery landing and curtained windows beyond.
