Heavenly Blue

The living room is organised around a single built-in wall, painted in a muted blue-grey that anchors the space and offsets the warmth of the herringbone floor. Open shelving is styled with an eclectic collection of vases, carved figures and books, giving the joinery a personal, gallery-like quality rather than a purely functional one.

Large windows framed by heavy curtains and sheer linen blinds bring in soft daylight, filtered further by a blossoming tree just outside. A deep corner sofa, brass reading lamp and small side tables create a relaxed seating area, while views through glazed double doors connect the room to the kitchen beyond.

Outside, the original gable end with its patterned brickwork, rounded window and decorative finial has been preserved, grounding the modern interior in the character of the existing building.
