Weesperzijde Revisited

The kitchen island doubles as a breakfast table, fully wrapped in the same sintered stone cladding for a seamless, sculptural look. Behind the ribbed oak panelling, lighting, sliding walls, installations and cupboards are all concealed, keeping the surfaces calm and uninterrupted.

The rear extension is a tall volume with openings on four sides, drawing daylight deep into the house and connecting it to the patio beyond. Its detailing echoes the original architecture, combining warm timber panelling with white window frames.

The original kitchen was not discarded but given a second life in another renovation project, reflecting a considered, resourceful approach to the redesign.
