Elegant Dream Villa with Thatched Roof

In Ede, EVE Architecten designed a villa in which the thatched roof functions less as ornament than as a structural language in its own right. The building's curved geometry continues into the relationship between inside and outside, with the pool set as an extension of the surrounding grounds rather than a separate feature.

The living space forms the core of the house — a room without a hard boundary to the exterior, where glazing and curved walls let the interior dissolve into the forest beyond. Light and outlook, more than a fixed floor plan, seem to order the space.

The additional photographs show how the villa holds its position in the landscape under changing light — a project where traditional material and contemporary form are treated as complementary rather than opposing.
