Contemporary Farm Garden

The realisation involved Peter van der Velden Exclusieve Buitenruimtes, responsible for the outdoor construction work. The result is a composition in which villa and garden inform one another: clean exterior lines echo the calm of the interior, while the swimming pond introduces an organic counterpoint to the more ordered terraces.

The photographs move around the villa, paying particular attention to the threshold between building and garden. The pool area appears fully absorbed into the wider landscape design, never competing with the planting around it.

Completed in 2017 in the Netherlands, the project shows how interior design and outdoor space can be conceived together from the earliest sketch. The contemporary approach sharpens rather than erases the farmhouse's original character, letting restraint define the new additions.
