Canal House II

The hallway sets the register early: a restrained transition that eases the visitor away from the street and into the layered rooms beyond. RA STUDIO worked with a logic in which each space carries its own rhythm, without losing the coherence of the whole apartment.

The kitchen is functional but quiet in expression, favouring material honesty over decoration. From there the house opens into the living room, where canal light enters freely and the furnishing leaves room for pause between objects.

Taken together, this Amsterdam canal house shows how an interior from another era can accommodate present-day living without erasing its own history. It is interior design that opts for nuance over statement, staying attentive to the building itself.
