Villa The Hague

Villa The Hague

by Studio Linda Pol

Set within a new-build penthouse in The Hague, this open-plan kitchen and dining area balances warmth with restraint. Woven pendant lamps and brass fixtures introduce texture and glow above a dark marble island, while soft beige textiles and custom oak cabinetry ground the space. The result is a layered, tactile interior that feels both refined and lived-in.

The kitchen island, finished in dark veined marble, anchors the space beneath a trio of slender brass pendant lights. Matching brass taps and cylindrical fixtures repeat throughout, tying the kitchen to the dining area. Olive velvet stools and armchairs soften the darker palette, offering contrast against black cabinetry and steel-framed seating.

A round black dining table sits beneath an oversized woven pendant, surrounded by upholstered chairs in muted grey tones. Nearby, a tall built-in cabinet in pale oak displays a curated collection of sculptural objects and ceramics, its open shelving breaking up the solid run of storage.

Beige curtains and dark roman blinds frame the windows, filtering daylight while maintaining privacy. Throughout, the material palette—oak, marble, brass, and velvet—remains consistent, giving the penthouse a cohesive, quietly luxurious character.
